If you have not visited our website in awhile, ou may have noticed that the City of Thorp has a new look to our site. We are excited to have a new website that promotes the modern look and feel we envision for the city moving forward. But, there is more to our site than just a new look and feel. You will find that the site has become easier to navigate and offers some quick links to important services for businesses, residents, and visitors.
Our top-level pages located in our navigation menu have a "center page" which allows a overview of all of the subpages found within each respective category. So, the Residents section has a page titled Residential Center while the Business section has a page titled "Business Center."
One of the most important additions to our new site is the RESOURCES sections found on many of our top-level pages. This special section uses a large grid layout which displays clickable tiles to help you quickly navigate to commonly searched for information.
We will be adding new links over the coming weeks based on feedback requests from people like you. So, if you think there should be more easily accessible links, just let us know by filling out our contact form.
This feature has been around for quite some time, but many residents were not aware that they can pay their tax and utility bills online with a secure payment gateway thru GovPay. This easy to use service can be used 24/7 and provides document of payment receipts while encrypted to meet strict government guidelines. If you have not used the tool before, try it out.
Local businesses are the lifeblood of Thorp's economy and now it is even easier to shop locally. By visiting our business directory page, you can discover which local businesses offer services you may be seeking. Additionally, you can find contact information including direct links to the respective business' website if available.
Throughout the year, Thorp and the local business community present community events. Now, you can find out dates and event info on our Events Calendar page. As we add more features in the future, we plan on providing direct links to ticketed events, social sharing, and comment fields.
Take a look around the site to discover many more features that may help you and your family streamline your experience with the Thorp government, chamber of commerce, public works, and more. As mentioned, enhancements will be taking place over the next few months and we look forward to sharing those with our residents when the new features go live.
Thorp's new website was designed and built by Edwin Marie Web Design based at 217 N Washington Street right here in Thorp. The site design was paid for by the Thorp Tourism commission.
